Pop Quiz – Middle East / North Africa Geography

Posted in Education, Entertainment, Geography, middle east, Quizzes & Tests by Curtis on 11/19/06

How well do you know your Middle Eastern geography? Take this fun drag-and-drop quiz to find out.

As for me, I surprised myself by making just one mistake—confusing Bahrain for Qatar. It was enough to get through all of the ex-Soviet -stans, and I suspect luck handled more than its share in those quarters.

Great quiz and I’ve linked to it. You performed better than I did Curt-meister. I needed two (or-gulp-more) goes for some countries but I enjoyed testing my ability.

What was I saying recently about people who won’t try because they know they’ll fail? I have become, with this quiz, one of those people I maligned. I will, however, redeem myself by boning up on Middle East / North Africa Geography, and I will return to the quiz after Turkey Day. I will. I must. Or I’ll hate me forever!

Thanks-I’ve been meaning to work on my geography and it took a whole half hour of work time to be able to label every country with no errors. Can’t say I didn’t accomplish anything today! (Btw, I like your blog!)

Well, I tried it again just now and I got bogged down in the -stans that I seemed to breeze through last time. Apparently these things take practice!
