Perhaps a bit harsh, but I couldn’t resist a hearty chuckle at this Venn diagram from SaintGasoline.com:

I wanted to say the only thing missing was The Devil, but then, I realized he was the one drawing the Venn.

I’m not sure whether it is fortunate or unfortunate that the Pareto Principle applies to all of those things.

While this shows awesome ingenuity, the purpose of a Venn diagram is two compare two things. I think you could Have a Republican circle and a Democrat circle. The overlapping portion could be “not caring about running the government so much as beating the crap out of each other on meaningless contrived issues that do no real good for people and ignoring the opportunity to run an effective government and help the people who elected you rather than paying homage to those who financed your campaigns”. Just another way to go really.

The way I see it, until we start a campaign of selective sterilization, there is no hope for the people of the Earth. If I could give an analogy as to what the world will be like, watch the movie Idiocracy. As certain as the sun will one day burn out, that is what I believe will become of humantiy.

Um, yeah. Even an old-skool Christian like me can see the oxymoron in “Intelligent design”.

Also, welcome back to WordPress’s top ten posts! Congrats!

Steve: an appropriate observation; but we mustn’t suppose this isn’t without its precedents and precursors.

DB: a fascinating and fractally deep idea! I hope you’ll expound.

JTimmerman: An interesting angle. What I’d like to see is a diagram of wealth and poverty.

Wonderweirdo: You’ve got me interested in that film. Eugenics, though, presents more problems than it could ever hope to solve, including one particularly ugly one. I disagree that the concept is in any sense viable, although it’s certainly interesting philosophical fodder.

    RC: Thank you kindly!!

    madmouser,

The Devil can’t have a section because he doesn’t exist.

global warming is becoming such a obvious problem that someone somewhere other than Al Gore needs to step up to help drive the bus!
